Header & Footer Animations
You can insert "Animations" into the footer and header of your project by linking to the file concerned!!!
Having a modicum of experience with X5, you will want to find out more and more about the workings of this program. If you have installed video's using the method described on this website, you will use the same for transferring your files to the server. You will know it's using the Paper Clip in a HTML Box. (files folder)
We will start off by choosing and naming the animation!!
Obviously you don't want a too big an animation for the H/Footer. Usually animations are gif files, some are transparent, some are not. The way to test animations on your computer is to view them in your browser before you choose the right one for your project.
NB: Don't use symbol's in IMAGE NAMES or PRODUCT/MAIL FORMS with X5
Before you attach the file to the HTML Box, rename the gif file as above. Lowercase letters with a shorter name (No gaps)
Then do an upload to put the gif into the files folder on your server, when complete insert the HTML into your project.
Next we link the file to the H/Footer by HTML!!
To insert the HTML use the </> icon on the menu and insert the HTML Code in the bottom lefthand box:
<img src="http://www.example.com/files/polight.gif"></img>
Use the TEST facility and you should see your animation! Adjust to suit the position you require!
(Should you NOT see your animation change the HTML gif extension to e.g. polight.GIF)
Making your animation link to Webpages or Email addresses see the HTML Tutorial. More info....
