Take some time to deliberate over your Domain Name

                          The "Title" is very important and you must think carefully as you are purchasing this for your visitors to recognise your presence on the web. This must represent your content or your reputation.
                          Helping to make your mind up, Domain Name companies have database records of every domain being used on the internet. (See below) So a slant or an interpretation of the name you might have thought of already might be needed. There are many Domain extensions for sale eg; .com, .co.uk, .biz etc... Every country has their own example being .nl Netherlands, .au Australia etc..
Or you can use a universal name like .com, .net etc..

The domain .info relatively means an information website. Org is usually used for non-commercial organisations. Gov is usually associated with the government. Just one thing to remember, when you visit a website say .co.uk (This is usually used for british websites) it doesn't necessarily mean the company or person is from Britain.

Did you know you can gain control over your Domain Name?

                          A majority of users buy their domain name at the same place they have their webspace. Whether its free webspace or a hosting company they have control over your Domain Name. Leaving you to utilise the webspace for your website. They automatically assign the domain name to your webspace thus tying your domain to them.
                          BUT! What if you decide to move your website to your ISP's free webspace? (Saving you money and getting rid of the pesky advertisements often seen on freely given webspace)
Depending on which Domain Company you are with, you can acquire a "Control" panel to freely direct your domain to another server on the web.

                          Why? the reason being is that you can put another website on a server you've already got an account at or change any details at a mouse click. The most affordable method previously mentioned is to purchase your Domain Name and point it towards your ISP's FREE webspace. This means you are only paying the price of the Domain per year to run your website!! (This is for personal websites mainly. See Exporting)

                          Below is such a place where you can acquire a control panel and it also gives you the choice of "Privacy" (Hiding your details: address etc.. from prying eyes on the web. This I am told is an extra with some FREE webspace companies and a fee is payable for this service) However with this company below it is included with the Domain FREE of charge as well as unlimited email accounts!!

Domains by Country

Make sure you have a control panel for your Domain Name. Many of the countries have different Domain extentions e.g. co.uk etc.. Each country will support their own domain such as Canada.ca and Ireland.ie When you purchase these Domains make sure it's the right package deal for you. Ensuring you have FULL CONTROL and additional extra's such as email addresses etc.....

Good Advice!

                          I met by chance a local business person, who was paying £360 GBP per year to run his e-commerce website.
