When downloading to your own computer SCAN the file with
your security program before opening it

                          When creating Downloads for PDF's, Zips etc... your browser picks them up just like a HTML page. The browser opens a HTML page on the server to view it. However with a zip etc.. it offers them as a download automatically. So really its just a case of putting a zip, pdf file etc.. on your server. All you need to do is add a link to it eg: http://www.mywebsite.com/download.zip or whatever you want your visitors to download.
X5 has made linking to the file quite easy by using the link function. You can have the zip or pdf file on your computer and link to it via text or an image and X5 will upload the file for you.
Have the file "Open in the same window" for a zip or pdf so all you will see is the download file in front of you. Once this is uploaded the link is made to any browser so that a visitor may download at will.
