Moving/Backing up Your Project

You work hours and hours on your website project then? *DISASTER* Your computer packs up! You loose images, documents and more importantly? YOUR WEBSITE!
To ensure this does not happen to you X5 has a built in Batch Processing feature. Batch process is exactly what it means: The gathering of all the files necessary to create the website BUT in one place. (Ready to move to a safe location)

We start off by creating a folder on your computer to put the files in! So we open up C: Drive (or same drive letter you are moving to) Create
NEW FOLDER and name it MyWork or something similar so you recognize the folder in the future and you know instantly what's inside of it.

Then in X5 we go to Export:

X5 v7 - Batch Project Files

Evo 8 - Optimize and Batch to Folder/No Optimization

We then locate the Destination Directory which is in this case is C:\MyWork then Start and that's it. All the files for your project are now in one folder ready to move to another computer. (Even the BWS and IWP)

(DO NOT RENAME FOLDERS WHEN MOVING THE BATCHED FILES)

BUT? That is only half of it? We then set about moving the folder either to a USB Stick or Burn it to a CD Disc for safe keeping. You can acquire a USB Stick for pennies now-a-days from 1GB+ Course it only costs same again for a disc and its guaranteed to last for up to 50 years! I hope this is NOT the next time you decide to make a backup :D (For Advanced Users: You can leave the Disc open to add to it again in the future)
I hope now you will Backup every 3 - 4 months or when your website reaches such a proportion while working on it that you don't want to loose the hours of work you have put into it. Either way please backup and never loose your website again.

Alternative Solution (Storage)

If you haven't the expertise or knowledge of tranfering files to USB or Disc? There is another alternative? SAVE your project online! Most online email clients are now offering more and more services! The reason? Simple THEY get paid for recommending their user's to purchase the products offered by the company. One of the services I have noticed (Especially with Windows Live/Hotmail) is a storage solution! They are offering FREE GB's+ to store your precious files in the hope you will purchase more space.
HUMYO gives you 10GB FREE an I have had an account for 5 years now. (10 Gigabytes - 5GB for Photos, Music, Videos & 5GB for other files) So upload your project and protect your files!

Another Computer

When you have got a backup made? Just move it to another computer with an X5 program. Insert the folder on C: Drive again C:\MyWork Open X5 and locate the IWP of your project. Press Start and away you go. By rights it should load everything including images etc.. Proceed to carry on amending your wonderful creation again!
Warning: Install the folder on the same drive or in the same position you had on your previous computer! Otherwise your paths to the images with be wrong and NOT load up (Error messages)

Transfer to USB
Go to your Batched Processed project folder on C Drive - right click and SEND TO your removable/USB drive. On your USB Drive your folder will replicate as MyWork (Folder) Take this to your other computer and open the USB Drive folder on your desktop..... restore down the window. Open another window with your C Drive upon it and drag the MyWork folder onto the C Drive window - THAT's IT mission accomplished! You now have C:\MyWork on the other computer...... Open with X5!

DO IT TODAY!
