X5 Resizes Images Automatically
Although when images are imported into X5, they will first be converted to JPG format that is? If they are in any other format other than JPG, PNG or GIF. This ensures the images are compatible with all Internet Browsers and not too large for web page use. As part of the conversion, you can choose the 'Quality' of the conversion, from 1 to 99. A high number means the images will load more quickly but the picture will be a lower quality; a low number means a higher quality picture but will be slower to load. This is just best left alone to resize/adjust the images for you!

Photograph Programs
As the title says mainly for photographs, dealing with red eye, exposure, contrast etc... More advanced features and Special FX are being introduced into the (PAID) pro-versions of some photo programs. But for the web... you need to know and work with the pixel sizes (also the size in KB's (Kilobytes) and in a lot of Graphic's prog's there are far more Special FX (See below)
